How to Get Glowing Skin!
Put your best face forward as you return to work, school and the usual routine with these 5 healthy skin tips!
Hydrate from the inside out.
Drinking plenty of water helps rid your body of toxins and keep cells plump and supple. Avoid sugary drinks, sodas and even smoothies and replace them with water or pure, organic coconut water.
Follow a skincare routine.
Keeping your skin clean and hydrated is the best way to keep it clear. Never go to bed with your makeup on! Wash your face with a makeup removing cleanser in the evening and use a mild cleanser in the morning. You may only need to rinse with water in the morning if you have really dry skin. Be sure to follow up your cleansing with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. For those with normal to dry skin, try adding a couple of drops of olive or coconut oil for an extra glow!
Ditch the dairy.
Most dairy is heavily treated with hormones that aren’t good for our bodies and can cause acne and inflammation. If you’re following a strict skin care routine and still struggling with break outs, try eliminating dairy for 30 days and see if this helps. As always, consult with a physician if you have any health/medical conditions before drastically changing your diet.
Get moving. Cardio exercise pumps blood through your body improving your circulation which keeps your skin young and glowing. Be sure to cleanse your face thoroughly after you sweat to avoid unnecessary break outs.
Exfoliate. Regular exfoliation helps remove excess dead skin cells for a fresh and youthful glow. Try adding several drops of olive oil to 1 tablespoon of sugar, enough to make a paste. Massage onto clean skin in up and outward circles for about 1 minute. Rinse and feel the smoothness! Olive oil is super hydrating and repairing for your skin, and sugar is a natural exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. Repeat 2-3 times per week and be sure not to over-exfoliate as this will irritate your skin.
Follow these tips daily and get ready for major compliments on your youthful, glowing skin!
